Minor League Park = Big League Living

    Owen J. Busch Stadium was once the highlight of minor league ballparks. The stadium broke ground in 1931 and officially closed in 2001. It was the home to the Indianapolis Indians, a few Negro League teams, and the Indianapolis Capitols of the Continental Football League.

    Since the 01′ closing of Busch Stadium time was not kind, the park was run down and falling apart. In 2011 it was proposed the 81 year old venue be transformed into lofts. On March 15, 2012, demolition began. On July 27, 2013, there were 138 lofts completely leased and ready to live in. The complex keeping the geometrical shape of Busch Stadium surrounding a mini diamond to preserve the historical value of the property. During 2014, 144 more lofts will be added to the structure.
