Ashlea is an Anchor, Host, Reporter and Digital Media Specialist.

Currently, Ashlea is freelancing for production companies while she works on starting her own Digital Media company. Her companies goal is to originate multimedia content for small businesses, to help build a digital footprint to expand visibility on a social media and web base. The idea came from her mother, Christie Bullington, who owns a boutique Vintage Chic in Weatherford, TX. The two were discussing how they could market the store to help boost business and that is when the two came up with the idea to start producing video content for the shops in the area. Since, she has started consulting with businesses on the area with video, photo, and advertising content.

Before moving back home, she was working in Jacksonville, FL for the North American Soccer League team, the Armada FC. Ashlea was the Armada’s Multimedia Coordinator, Co Host of Armada Kick off and the Armada Soccer Show, as well as their Sideline Reporter for all of the Armada’s home and away games on CW17. When going to Jacksonville she had the goal of creating compelling content for the team off the field to give fans a better connection with the team. She did just that with one man banding all of her weekly features on the men playing for the Armada. Though her time was short in Florida she won the heart of the fans and help build a better connection between the team and the community.

Prior to Jacksonville Ashlea spent almost two years working for the American Sports Network. When she began, ASN was a start up network owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group and Niles Media, that launched August 2014. The production was run out of a basement in Kansas City that facilitated content for 10 mid major college conference. Now ASN is connected with, Professional Dance Sport Competitions, 13 NCAA conferences including college hockey, the MLFB, MLS, MiLB and has a full running studio in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ashlea started as a utility employee. She did whatever was asked of her, starting as a Host for halftime features, studio editor, producer, and sideline reporter. She was the major content producer and sideline reporter for the Networks largest rated show in 2015 the MiLB Sunday Showcase. She was in charge of creating all of the Graphics, Pregame Broll, Bumps, Features, and Game Content for the production, as well as reported from the Dugout during the broadcast. Impressed with her hard work, Ashlea’s superiors asked her to take over the Production Management nine months into her employement. Though a stressful situation she took over willingly managing an editing team of four people, never missing a deadline. With ASN making shifts and Niles Media growing Ashlea was promoted again. Now the Production Coordinator she was helping run the network and all live productions. Ashlea will tell you that she “owes her career to her family at Niles Media and ASN” that she “was blessed with the opportunity and experience she was given that helped her grow into such a versatile asset in Broadcasting.”

Before going to the American Sports Network, Ashlea was a General Assignment MMJ/Reporter at KATC TV 3 Acadiana’s leading news station in Lafayette, Louisiana. At KATC she produced, photographed, and edited her own reports for the air and web. While she enjoyed her time in news, Ashlea knew though she would be making the crossover back into sports.

Ashlea’s goals are to report at the world’s top sporting entities. She knows the hard work and dedication it will take in order to reach  those goals and is working everyday to become more well rounded in this constantly changing business.  She loves adventure and traveling to new places, which is part of the reason she grew to have such a strong passion for her profession.

Ashlea graduated from Texas Christian University in 2013. After graduating, Ashlea worked for the Kansas City Royals as a Co-Host for the 2014 Royals FanFest. She ran this site as well producing video and written content.

Her love for sports came from her time on the field, “There is a camaraderie among athletes and I am proud to be one.” As a former D1 Athlete at TCU, Ashlea was a Goal Keeper for the Women’s Soccer Team and a two year letterman.

Ashlea attended Azle High School and graduated in 2010. She excelled academically and graduated in three years as an Honor Student. While attending high school, she lettered as a freshman and was the starting goal keeper.  In 2007 she was named All-District Goal Keeper of the Year and All-District Academic Honors. She broke the Texas High School Shut Out record that year with 18 shut outs. In 2008 she once again lead her high school team to the play offs and received All-District Goal Keeper of the Year, All-District Academic Honors, and MVP.  Ashlea also played D1 select soccer for Solar, Tejanos and finished her select years with Dallas Sting.

Ashlea has a goal beyond the screen. She hopes to take her life experiences and help inspire those around her to accomplish their goals and dreams. To show the next generation that hard work, diligence, and a little faith can help you over come any adversity. That perfection is unattainable but achieving your goals are.
